"Nobody was here"

Right now, there are only two main characters being talked about. Their name's are Penelope and Stacy. They're both best friends and have been since they were 6 years old. Only now, Penelope doesn't know what to do about her friendship, if her best friend is hanging out with the two most extra girls in her grade, Lillian Lang and Annie Reed.
The setting mostly takes place at school, Penelope talks about Dr. Alvin who was the teacher giving a small summery about middle school and Mr. Bobkin who was the Algebra teacher. She also mentions that she lives on the Upper West Side of New York City, making Stacy live right across the park.
They show their love towards the Upper West Side by shouting "West is best!" When the Elston Elemntary's lone West Side school bus parted. Then again, shouting "East is least!" When the East Side ones arrived.

"Nobody was here"

Title of the book: Nobody was here
Book by: Alison Pollet

Based on the cover of the book, I think it's going to be about a girl who didn't have anyone. A girl who didn't have friends, or somebody she could trust. She didn't have anybody that was there for her in general.

From what I've read so far the main character is a girl named Penelope. She just started 7th grade at Elston Prep and she has a best friend named Stacy who as of right now isn't getting along with. She feels alone, and she has no one to talk to about the way she feels about 7th grade and what's going through her head.
