"You and me"

So far in the book, there's been a citywide blackout and Owen got stuck on an elevator with a girl named Lucy. During the blackout he daydreamed about everything that has happened to him. He thinks about how his parents are rarely with him. How they used to travel everywhere but then settled down after they created a family.

Owen feels like his parents don't understand him, like no one does. He feels like he's by himself and that he doesn't have anyone therefore he spends all of his time in his room. Owen and Lucy soon get rescued and Owen gets told that his dad won't be able to make it. Owen as of right now is hoping to see his dad, but the only way is if his dad walks in the darkened streets of Manhattan, due to the blackout.

"You and me"

From what I read today, it's kind of sad. Owen isn't much of an outgoing person or a social kind either. He's always been in one place only, he doesn't travel because his parents got that out when they were younger before he came along. They went everywhere and once they started a family they decided to stick to one place only. It makes me sad knowing that Owen feels like he doesn't have anyone. In the book it says that he was always in his room alone, he felt as if he and his father didn't belong in the building. Like they didn't "fit in".

"You and Me"

This novel brings me mixed emotions, it's funny at time but it ca get sad as well. It makes me feel relaxed and calm due to what I've read so far. They're both stuck on an elevator and they have nothing to do since there's no reception, therefore they can't call for help. They're stuck in there and in the mean time they get to know each other. It makes me feel some type of way that I can't explain. It's actually a book I'm enjoying so far.

"Nobody was here"

In today's reading something interesting that I found out was that Penelope (the main character) loves to copy people's hand writing. Every time she finishes her homework he starts writing as a reward. From what I read so far I think that maybe something bad is going to happen and she's going to get a detention and she's going to forge her mom's signature since every single hand writing she copies looks good,

"Nobody was here"

Right now, there are only two main characters being talked about. Their name's are Penelope and Stacy. They're both best friends and have been since they were 6 years old. Only now, Penelope doesn't know what to do about her friendship, if her best friend is hanging out with the two most extra girls in her grade, Lillian Lang and Annie Reed.
The setting mostly takes place at school, Penelope talks about Dr. Alvin who was the teacher giving a small summery about middle school and Mr. Bobkin who was the Algebra teacher. She also mentions that she lives on the Upper West Side of New York City, making Stacy live right across the park.
They show their love towards the Upper West Side by shouting "West is best!" When the Elston Elemntary's lone West Side school bus parted. Then again, shouting "East is least!" When the East Side ones arrived.

"Nobody was here"

Title of the book: Nobody was here
Book by: Alison Pollet

Based on the cover of the book, I think it's going to be about a girl who didn't have anyone. A girl who didn't have friends, or somebody she could trust. She didn't have anybody that was there for her in general.

From what I've read so far the main character is a girl named Penelope. She just started 7th grade at Elston Prep and she has a best friend named Stacy who as of right now isn't getting along with. She feels alone, and she has no one to talk to about the way she feels about 7th grade and what's going through her head.
